About Stretch-n-Grow of Lawrence Area
My name is Beth Breitzman, and I am super excited to be the owner of Stretch-n-Grow of Lawrence Area!
I’m a proud Texan, born and raised! I am originally from Dallas and lived there until 2017 when my husband and I moved our family to Tonganoxie, Kansas to be near some of my family and see what small-town life was all about. My background is actually in accounting. I landed a bookkeeping job at 16 years old and went on to obtain my degree in accounting from the University of North Texas. When I decided to stay home after our daughter was born, I quickly decided that I did not want to go back. After some soul searching, wondering what else I could possibly do when all I had ever done was accounting, I discovered my passion is, and always has been, fitness and nutrition. When the owner of Stretch-n-Grow of Douglas County announced she was selling, it felt like a sign. I feel blessed to be able to combine my background in business, my passion for fitness and nutrition, and one of the core values in my home which is education.
My husband and I have 3 amazing kids, and sports and fitness are a very big part of our lives. I am a runner and exercise regularly, my husband coaches, our oldest son plays soccer and baseball, our younger son is new in his soccer career, and our little girl just started dance. I believe it is so important to teach healthy habits at a young age, and I consider it a great privilege to have this opportunity to do just that. I’m excited to pass on my passion for exercise and show kiddos how fun being healthy can be. Let’s Stretch-n-Grow!
About Stretch-n-Grow International
Stretch-n-Grow was conceived in January of 1992 by Jill and Bob Manly, with a plan to conduct classes on a local level only in their home town of Galveston, Texas. The simple concept of providing a comprehensive fitness program at an early, impressionable age grew quickly into an impressive world-wide network of dedicated, talented people with the common goal of building a successful organization that has a positive impact on the health and fitness of young children.
Stretch-n-Grow is a family and faith based company. Jill’s daughter Amanda Hollowell joined the company shortly after the birth of Jill and Bob’s daughter Megan in July 1992, and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. Megan joined the team after graduating from the University of South Florida in 2016 and serves as Vice President while also managing her own Stretch-n-Grow in St. Petersburg, FL.
And here is the “happy ending” to this story: there are now millions of Stretch-n-Grow “Stars” around the world learning to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while building a foundation of fitness and well-being!
